Backlinks

Every [[wiki link]] you write creates a connection between two pages. SteleKit indexes both directions.

Type [[ followed by the page name:

Today I finished reading [[Getting Started]].
Planning to review [[Architecture]] next.

The link is live as you type. SteleKit adds a backlink on the target page immediately.

If the target page does not exist yet, the link still works. SteleKit creates the page when you first navigate to it. Your backlink is waiting there.

Open any page and scroll to the bottom. The backlinks panel lists every page that links to the current one.

Each entry shows:

  • The name of the linking page
  • The block that contains the link, with its surrounding context
  • A link to navigate directly to that block

The panel updates in real time as you write. Add a [[new link]] on another page and the count on the target page changes immediately.

Click any link text to navigate to that page. Use the browser-style back button in the header to return.

The sidebar shows recently visited pages. Your navigation history is local to the session — it resets when you close the app.

SteleKit searches for the page name as plain text in addition to explicit [[links]]. Unlinked mentions appear below the backlinks panel with a button to convert them to formal links.

The [[page name]] syntax is identical to Logseq’s. Links in your existing Logseq graph are recognized without any conversion.

Aliases ([[target|display text]]) are displayed with the alias text in the UI but stored in standard Logseq format on disk.
